- Event Date
- November 1st, 2025
- Start Time
- 7:00 AM
- Cutoff Time
- The cutoff time is 2:00 PM. This gives you 7 hours to complete the event. You can still finish after the cutoff time but I can't guarantee that I will be there to cheer you on or that the aid station will still be stocked with food and water.
- Sunrise
- Sunrise is predicted to be 7:54 AM. This means you might want to bring a headlamp for the first few laps. You can store it in your drop bag once you no longer need it.
- Start Location
- You can check out the course for the start location. Registrants will have the address emailed to them after completing registration. The lat/long coordinates are 47.853004, -122.198276 if you want to plug that into your GPS.
- Aid Station Locations
- There will be one aid station which you'll pass every lap. It's, conveniently, located at the start/end location (also the location of your drop bag) which means you'll see it every 5 kilometers.
- Aid Station Items
- The aid station will have a variety of food, drinks, and first aid items available. You can check out the aid station items page for more details.
- Bathrooms
- There's two bathrooms (one mens and one womens) out on the course (at Pine Meadow Park) that you're free to use. I'll stock them with extra toilet paper in advance and will also have TP on hand at the aid station in the event some needs to be dropped off. It's worth noting that these are public bathrooms and might be in use when you swing by them.
- Drop Bags
- You're free to store a drop bag at the start/end/aid location. It will be stored as safely as possible in a location that will still be accessible to you.
- Drop Bag Item Recommendations
- Bring everything you need for the race! I recommend gels, nutrition, and electrolytes that you know sit well in your stomach. A spare pair of shoes and socks wouldn't hurt either.
- Secure Storage
- If you have anything that you want stored securely (like car keys) then I'll have a special spot for those items.
- Occurrence
- The 2025 Mill Creek 50K will be the first iteration/occurrence of this event!
- Prizes/Awards
- There will be overall prizes and awards. I'm not exactly sure what those will be yet but I'll have something. Due to the small field size for this event there will not be official age group awards.
- Course Navigation
- There are numerous turns in this course which, if you're not familiar with it, can make it tricky to follow. I recommend becoming familiar with the route (maybe load it up in your GPS watch) so you know where you're going. I'll chalk the turns in advance but rain could make those tough to follow. Please be prepared.
- Race Day Registration
- There will be no day of race registration available.
- Chip Timing
- This event is not chip timed. I'll have a clock going at the start/finish line so that we can manually track your time.
- Packet Pickup
- Packet pickup will occur the morning of the event. Please plan on arriving at least 20 minutes before the start time to allow for packet pickup and any last minute preparations.
- Refund Policy
- The event is free. There are no refunds.
- How Serious Is This Event?
- This event is primarily meant to be fun, low-key, and enjoyable. I'm taking the planning seriously but the actual race is not that serious. My goal is to create a fun way to get out and run a 50K in our community.
